Oratorial ability
Hello all,
Oratorial skills can be acquired by watching TV newsreaders and TV hosts and presenters.
This leads to the question, how would one approach teaching the differently abled in a conventional setting?
Teaching presentation skills for the differently abled poses a whole new gamut of puzzles that need to be addressed.
The above mentioned situation should be handled at a psychological level coupled with technology.
Getting sensitized and erasing the social stigma is one of the ways to address the issue.
Sign language ,not necessarily written, could be used as a tool to communicate.
Well, there are standards, protocols and principles for communication.
Just as Microsoft made the PC accessible to everybody, communication skills can be
taught and learnt by everybody.Infact, IBM, Google and a host of other companies, academic institutions and universities have been actively developing speech recognition and face recognition software, which is in a way, bringing all of human kind together, helping bridge the digital divide.

Read&Write
One tends to read a lot about excellent verbal and written communication skills required quite often in newspaper advertisements regarding jobs.
What does the above phrase exactly mean?
I am sure that the phrase points to 'writing and speaking' abilities.
Be that as it may, in any language, good writing and speaking abilities are perceived to be a necessity.
It is more often than not, seen as skills to be acquired by anybody, be it a software engineer,
a businessman ,a home maker, a college professor, a student,a colleague inorder to function efficiently.
I believe good communication ability is a skill rather than a gift. Hence, a skill can be acquired over a period of time rather than winning it like a gift in a lottery!
Grammar and syntax comes to mind while thinking about writing skills, forming sentences and the such......
Speaking ability is a different ability as compared to writing. To build up a rapport, for example, a salessman with a possible client, one must hone skills and communicate in a way that it does not annoy the possible customer but puts him or her in to a comfort zone.......
