Science and Technology!!
Hello,
I came across two very interesting and innovative articles today from the following links:
http://www.hindu.com/2009/11/08/stories/2009110851251100.htm
http://www.hindu.com/2009/11/08/stories/2009110859280200.htm
The first one mentions about Pranav Mistry, an Indian genius researcher from MIT and his
new invention.
The second link talks about General Electric's "Edison Challenge" competition to find innovative
ways to provide electricity in rural India.

Oratorial ability
Hello all,
Oratorial skills can be acquired by watching TV newsreaders and TV hosts and presenters.
This leads to the question, how would one approach teaching the differently abled in a conventional setting?
Teaching presentation skills for the differently abled poses a whole new gamut of puzzles that need to be addressed.
The above mentioned situation should be handled at a psychological level coupled with technology.
Getting sensitized and erasing the social stigma is one of the ways to address the issue.
Sign language ,not necessarily written, could be used as a tool to communicate.
Well, there are standards, protocols and principles for communication.
Just as Microsoft made the PC accessible to everybody, communication skills can be
taught and learnt by everybody.Infact, IBM, Google and a host of other companies, academic institutions and universities have been actively developing speech recognition and face recognition software, which is in a way, bringing all of human kind together, helping bridge the digital divide.
